Still Bend / The Schwartz House

Thoughtfully designed to host the typical American family, The Bernard Schwartz House is Frank Lloyd Wright’s interpretation of dreamy, easy living. Literally meant to be a “Dream House,” Wright designed the Two Rivers home as a take on expanding Usonian ideas in 1938, modifying his vision to become more functional, beautiful, and elaborate. When he christened the home “Still Bend,” Wright wanted a name that captured an essence of serenity, recreation, and ease.

What’s something you wish more people knew about you?

Owned today by brothers Gary and Michael Ditmer, the home stands restored and available to the public for overnight rental and educational tours.
